where can a needy family of 7 find money help? since the government sources(except WIC) say we don't qualify.
My husband and I have 5 girls. He is the only one working. 3 of our girls are 4 and under. So It would not be financially feesable for me to work. We have tried to get government assistance but they say we make to much before deductions to get help. We get some food help from a church and a neighbor but other than that we are struggling every day. Please tell me where we can go to get some help. Our mortgage and taxes went up recently so that made a huge problem financially for us. We arte waiting for the city to find people to buy out our neighborhood so we are unable to refinance or anything. Please give possitive feed back only.

I like the idea of you babysitting to earn more money. You’ve got 3 at home, what’s one or two more? This is an option or you could get a part time job when hubby is not working. That or hubby can get a second job. Lots of people do it to get out of a tight spot.
Maybe you could consider moving/asking to transfer kids to a school district that has full day kinder garden, or part day Pre-K. If you can’t afford the house payment, consider renting and finding a district that has this. Several of the Churches in our town have part time mothers day out that are virtually free 3 or 2 days a week. Perhaps you could get a 2 for 3 deal if you explained to them your situation and had a job lined up during their hours. Garage Sales, ebay, think of ways to generate cash.
Good luck.

it sounds overwhelming. it is not that bad. think about that it could’ve been way worse. like, for example have a kid with handicap. now, exhale, and think positive.
when there is a will, there is a way.
i don’t understand first of all, how come you don’t qualify for WIC. that might mean that the hubby makes somewhat good money. and working for you, is out of discussion, for a while. Daycare for so many kids can make a big hole, even if you start working, all the money will go to the daycare fees.
you need to get organized. toys are bought only at special ocassions. as for the older 2 kids, they can do chores and win money- put them in the piggy bank and once a month or every 2 months go to the dollar store and have them pick something. this way they get to be motivated to help you- a win-win situation.
for clothes, go to goodwill stores, or savers, which ever is a thrift store in your area, and make sure you keep track when they have everything 50% sales. you find there- clothes, shoes, books, bedding. there is some good stuff there, i know because i donate there often.
then think, you can always be a mystery shopper, and you can go with the kids. find the websites, there are plenty and they train you easily online.
if you are good making things, you can sew bibs, kids clothes, make seasonal items, and sell them here and there. try it.
get involved with your church, there is always a helping hand waiting there. find womens’ clubs, mom’s clubs, MOPS, etc.
take care.

Do you have a sub prime mortgage? The federal government has a program to help you through HUD. I will include their link. Also you might want to consider doing home day care or babysitting a child or two. There is good money in it, and it can supplement your family’s income. Good luck!

Hmm this would fall under another category besides Educational Financial aid.
Are you saying your in school and need money or are you both post-college or no college at all?
I don’t understand how you are only able to get WIC. Try the Department of Social and Health services. If you qualify you can get free health coverage (with a co-pay of course) as well as food stamps.
I’m a student in college and currently live on my own and have food stamps. It’s nice because they give you a debit card and they refill it every month so you can purchase food. So try that out.
