Me and my fiance have limited credit history we were however able to finance a car now we need an apartment and I was wondering if our bad credit would get us denied or if they are looking for history as far as apartments shouldn’t the car get us brownie points also I have a good city job too

Evictions, judgments, charge backs or lots of lates.
The car loan would concern me, if it were very much I would worry I might not get my rent.

They will look for past evictions and judgments. They will also check your payment history on all debts as well as how much you owe on each debt.

The most important is the debt to income ratio, and decent credit. Since you were able to refinance you should be fine. Usually who ever signs the lease has to make 3 to 4 times the rent amount per month.
