Is it okay to ask congregational/church members for a loan?

No, donations are strictly reserved for their car payment. The reverend next to my house drives a Porsche
Sorry to talk ill about the guy … he might have given a Porsche to every single poor and dying people … sorry if it’s the case

Actually, the bible tells us not to borrow. Which most citizens do to exist. I don’t remember the passages right now, but it’s thee. I would never ask for a loan. Now if my children were hungry, or freezing due to weather I would ask for donations thru the pastor to see if the church could help. Most churches have contacts thru the city’s services to tell you where to go to food banks and to those who help with electric or other personal needs. They take up church offerings, have yard sales…churches are really good about taking care of people in real need
