I’m transferring to a different college, how do I find a roommate for an apartment?

All of my friends are either already away at school or are leaving at the same time I am, which is this fall. My parents said they’ll only finance my apartment living if I find a roommate to live with. But I don’t know anyone! What do I do?

Absolutely get help at the college you’re transferring to. They may have know of internet boards that can help you find a student roommate. If the first person you speak with at the college can’t help, keep trying different departments, like Student Affairs. Also try the Craig’s List board for your new city and advertise specifically for that college’s students.

Make sure you meet the person and get references and check them out before you move in with them, though! Here’s how to get through moving day when you finally do make it to that point…

apply at the school,they have listings of other people looking for mates,they also have lists of apts…gl

You can also go to rent.com, and they have listings of people that are looking for roommates
