I’m primarily atheistic with tendencies of LaVeyan Satanism and agnosticism.
First of all, I just want to clarify something — you said you wouldn’t mind corrections on any inconsistencies, and there is an issue. Not all satanists actually worship Satan. Some are atheistic — for instance, LaVeyan satanists worship the self, and do not believe in nor accept any "greater" being; not God, nor Satan. There are other, similar, types of satanism.
The actual worship of Satan is fairly uncommon. It’s theistic, or Luciferian satanism.
The differences between Catholicism and Luciferian satanism are somewhat complicated. Obviously, one worships Satan, whereas the other worships God. Also, worship is done in different ways.
As for justification, that’s even more complicated. It’s all in viewpoint and belief — for example:
Presume that I don’t like chicken, but you do. I like salad, you don’t.
We both believe that chicken exists, and we both believe that salad exists. However, I eat salad, and you eat chicken. That’s because salad appeals to me, and it doesn’t appeal to you, and chicken appeals to you, but doesn’t appeal to me. I don’t eat much meat (semi-vegetarian), and you don’t eat many vegetables. To me, eating meat is the negative force, and eating vegetables is the positive force. But for you, eating meat is the positive force, and you feel eating vegetables is bad.
Same with religion: satanists and Catholics both believe that God and Satan exist, but Catholics feel that God is good, and Satan is bad, while Satanists feel that Satan is good, but God is bad.
It’s all in the viewpoint — so, I guess the justification for worshipping Satan would be the same as your dislike for vegetables. Just personal taste, preference, and what’s right to you.

Refinance point should be "reference" point. And reference point for what exactly? for Satan worship or for the definitions of Satan worship?

‘Satanists’ worship ’satan’ but ’satan’ in the satanism that was founded by a teenager (anton something?)who worked at a carnival and saw all the church goers satisfying their carnal needs and desires all week long then going to church sunday and acting all holy isnt the ’satan’ of the christian bible. ’satan’ in this case is just the human instinct to fullfil desire and want worldly things and such. They dont worship the christian devil but rather just live to please themsevles….not a satanist but ive read the ’satanic’ bible and many other religious documents and such.
‘ and if a man smite you on, one cheek, SMASH him on the other!’…a tad bit different than what Catholics/Christians would have you do o.O but then again its all about self pleasure and preservation in satanism
