How do I find a job out of state?

I am based in Jacksonville, Florida but I want out of the state and into a real city. my desire is to work in sales or marketing up North in Chicago or New york. I have my BS degree in Business Management and have worked as a marketing coordinator and in real estate as a private investor as well as a loan originator.
Any advise on strategy would be great.

Truthfully the best way is to know someone who works where you want to go. Companies always offer jobs to employees before going outside to find people. Contact Focal Point in Jackson, MI. it’s a digital advertising company and the founder is expanding like crazy…he’s having a difficult time finding good people. Focal Point has a web site too.
