Can I put off my University acceptance letter for a semester?

Commercial Mortgage FAQ
I have applied to a University to transfer in the spring, but I’ve just found out that transferring mid academic year is a pain in the a$$, plus then I have to worry about financing my dorm/apartment over the summer, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I’d rather just wait until next fall, when I get my entire financial aid award for the fall and spring semester, so that I’m covered for a full year. Can I go ahead and get accepted, but not go until next fall?

Contact the school’s admission office and ask for a one semester deferrment. Most school’s will allow it, but it all depends on your school!
Good Luck!

It depends on the university. Contact their admissions office directly.

Most colleges will let you defer, my sister did that for a year. But you have to get in touch with them.

It shouldn’t be a problem. Most schools have a deferrment plan that you could go into. Of course, you may need to fill out the financial aid applications all over again. Check with the university to see what they say. Good luck.
